Cairo – Mubasher: The Central Bank of Egypt (CBE) offered treasury bonds (T-bonds) at a combined value of EGP 8 billion through two auctions on Monday, 1 July.

The first tranche stood at EGP 2 billion and will mature in two years on 2 July 2026, according to a bourse filing.

Meanwhile, the second auction was valued at EGP 6 billion, holding a tenor of three years until 2 July 2027.

The central bank halted work on Sunday, as the Egyptian government announced the day as a paid public holiday on the occasion of the 30 June Revolution.

Last week, on 24 June, the financial authority auctioned T-bonds valued at EGP 500 million.
